  • All animals must pass the Massachusetts State health requirements.
  • No animal under 4 months of age may be shown.
  • All cattle must be penned from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 
    • NOTE: Cattle not mandatory to stay overnight. Those that stay overnight will get an additional $30.00 premium.
  • Please bring your own bedding, feed, and water containers.
  • NO MORE THAN 12 ANIMALS PER FARM/EXHIBITOR. LIVESTOCK SUPERINTENDENT WILL HAVE FINAL SAY ON ALL ENTRIES.

Judging Info

  • Entry Fee: $4.00 per head
  • Judging starts Sunday at 10:00 a.m, animals must be penned by 9:00am
  • If there are fewer than 3 entries in a class, the judge reserves the right to combine classes.

MAKE SURE TO SEND COPIES OF PULLORIUM IN MAIL—NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITH OUT PULLORIUM FORMS

 

  • All youth birds must be banded
  • No bird substitutions the morning of the show
  • PULLORIUM TESTING POULTRY FOR FAIRS: All poultry except waterfowl exhibited at Fair must be accompanied by written proof that the flock was blood tested  negative for Pullorium-typhoid and Avian influenza within 365 days prior to entry date. The test must be done every year for valid certification. Please send a photo copy of your pullorium with your entry.
  • All entries must be penned by 8:30 a.m. and vehicles removed to designated parking area.
  • Entries will be reclassified at the discretion of the judges.
  • Juniors and Seniors will be judged together unless competition warrants division
  • Sex links and crossbreeds may be entered in classes 21 and 22.
  • In all questions the judges decision is the final word.
  • All exhibitors are requested to help in the cleanup and breakdown of the poultry area after the show. Many hands make light work. Thank You
  • Entry numbers are subject to change.
  • The Sterling Fair and its Volunteers are not responsible for animals bought and sold at the show.
