OPEN SWINE SHOW
Entry instructions- Shelter provided. Any animal not passing Massachusetts state health requirements will be refused entrance. All swine must be penned from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Please bring your own feed and water containers.
All swine forms with a $1.00 dollar entry fee for each animal entered must be entered via the sterling fair website www.sterlingfair.org payment will be collected at time of check in. Please make checks payable to the Sterling Fair
Judging starts Sunday Sept 12th 2010 at 10:30am. If there are fewer than 3 entries in a class, the judge reserves the right to combine classes.
BREEDS: Duroc, Hampshire, Hereford, Landrace, Yorkshire, Crossbred (market and feeder classes, all breeds will be competing)
Prizes: 1st- $15.00, 2nd -$11.00, 3rd-$ 10.00, 4th-$5.00, 5th-$4.00
Class 5 will be awarded 3 money places and 5 ribbon places

770 1 Boar, 1 year or under
770 2 Sow, 1 year or over
770 3 Sow, under 1 year
770 4 Sow & litter (4 or more piglets)
770 5 Gilt, over 2 months and under 1 year
770 6 Light weight market, under 175 pounds
770 7 Medium weight market, 175-225 pounds
770 8 Heavy weight market, 225 pounds and over
770 9 Feeder pig, 50-100 pounds
770 10 Feeder pig, 100-150 pounds
HERDSMAN AWARD- 10.00 cash prize
Costume Class-will be awarded ribbons only
