YOUTH SHEEP SHOW
Sunday (youth only)
Shelter is provided. Any animal not passing Massachusetts state health requirements will be refused entrance. Health papers need to be checked before animals are offloaded from trailers.
Dress for all classes will be white top tan pants. All sheep will be penned from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Judging starts on Sunday at 1:00pm. if there are fewer than 3 sheep to a class the judge reserves the right to combine classes and /or breeds, no bedding provided.
Entry fee is 2.00 a head
All animals must be owned or leased by exhibitors by July 1 of show year.
Youth Sheep ONLY
All entry forms must be filled out via the sterling fair website www.sterlingfair.org and mailed, deadline is Aug 25th. NO ENTRIES POSTMARKED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL BE ACCEPTED. LIVESTOCK SUPERINTENDENT WILL HAVE FINAL SAY ON ALL ENTRIES.
To qualify in a class, a breed must three(3) or more exhibitors and ten(10) or more sheep

Lead line class
Each contestant must be fashionably dressed with major parts of apparel being made of 100% wool/fiber or wool blend. Sheep must be led on a halter, well groomed and trained. Please bring commentary to be read during show. This commentary should include: Name, interests, hobbies, information about sheep and your outfit description.
18 Costume class
Each contestant and their sheep usually dressed as something other than sheep. Please bring commentary to be read during show. This commentary should include: Name, interests, hobbies, information about sheep and your outfit description.
*Market animals may not be shown in any other class
