Open Goat
OPEN GOAT SHOW
Shelter provided. Any animal not passing Massachusetts state health requirements
will be refused entrance. No bucks. All goats must be penned from 9:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. No bedding provided,. Judging starts Sunday September
12th 2010 at 9:00 a.m. If there are fewer than 3 entries in a class the judge reserves
right to combine classes and or breeds.
All entries must be filled out via the sterling fair website, www.sterlingfair.org
Entry deadline is September 5th
Entry fee $1.00 a head.
Entry fee to be paided at time of check in
NOTE: Though not required any goats that spend the weekend will be eligible for the herdsman award of 15.00.
BREEDS: Alpine, Nubian, Saanen, Oberhasli, La Mancha, and recorded grades
PRIZES: 1st $20.00 2nd $15.00 3rd $10.00 class 11 and 13 will be awarded ribbons
A trophy will be awarded for best fitting and showmanship.

9 Get of Sire, ( 3 does out of 1 sire
10 Produce of dam, ( 2 does out of 1 sire)

12 Herd (3 animals or more owned by one person or family)
13 Fitting and showmanship-novice-junior-senior. (youth only)
