OPEN DAIRY GOAT SHOW
Shelter provided. Limited pens. Any animal not passing Massachusetts state health requirements will be refused entrance. No bucks and no horned goats allowed. All goats must be penned from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No bedding provided. Judging starts Sunday at 9:00 a.m. If there are fewer than 3 entries in a class the judge reserves right to combine classes and or breeds.
All entries must be filled out via the sterling fair website, www.sterlingfair.org
Entry deadline is September 1st... No day of show entries.
Entry fee $2.00 a head.
Entry fee is due at the time of check in. Make checks payable to The Sterling Fair.
NOTE: Though not required that any goats come on Saturday, any goat spending the weekend will be eligible for the herdsman award of $15.00.
BREEDS: Alpine, La Mancha, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, Oberhasli, Saanen, Toggenburg, and Recorded Grades. (Order to be announced at the show)
PRIZES: 1st $20.00 2nd $15.00 3rd $10.00 class 11 and 13 will be awarded ribbons
All goat & sheep entries are required to help break down after Fair or premiums will be forfeited.
A trophy will be awarded for best fitting and showmanship.
